Eurovision Song 2013: vince la Danimarca con ''Only teardrops'', Mengoni 7°

La danese Emmelie De Forest, con la canzone 'Only teardrops', ha vinto l'edizione 2013 del concorso canoro Eurovision, la cui finale si è svolta a Malmo in Svezia.
La finale si è aperta sulla sfilata dei cantanti che, bandiera dei Paesi alla mano, hanno raggiunto il palco. Ad aprire la serata è stato l’inno ufficiale “We write the story” scritto da Benny Andersson e Björn Ulvaeus degli ABBA. Il gruppo, di cui facevano parte anche Agnetha Fältskog e Anni-Frid Lyngstad, vinse l’Eurovision Song Contest nel 1974 con la famosa “Waterloo”.
De Forest, 20 anni, era considerata la favorita di quest'anno e si é giovata della forte incidenza sul sistema di voto del compatto sostegno della 'lobby' dei Paesi scandinavi. A Copenaghen, dove Emmelie ha costruito il suo successo, si celebra quella ragazza che due anni fa lasciava il suo villaggio di 2000 anime nel cuore della Danimarca e la scorsa notte ha conquistato l’Europa.
“Ho sempre creduto che fosse una grande canzone – le sue parole in conferenza stampa post finale – Ma questa è la cosa eccitante dell’Eurovision, non si sa mai cosa possa accadere. Quando eravamo nella Green Room pensavo di morire. È stato emozionante con quel testa a testa. Quando ho capito di aver vinto ero sorpresa e scioccata”.
Per l'Italia era in gara Marco Mengoni, vincitore di Sanremo 2013, con 'L'essenziale': settimo posto per lui con 126 punti raccolti (con punteggio massimo ricevuto dall'Albania, dalla Spagna e dalla Svizzera)
Intanto crescono gli ascolti della finale dell’Eurovision Song Contest rispetto alle edizioni precedenti, sfiorando i 2 milioni (1.878.000) e il 9.17% di share. Per Marco Mengoni picco di share del 10.89% delle 22.49 (corrispondenti a 2.431.000 telespettatori), mentre durante il voting finale con tutti i risultati della serata, lo share ha sfiorato il 20%.
