Anche in UK il lancio dell' alta definizione non e' stato indolore e come forse gia sapete Sky UK ha dovuto subire le lamentele di molti abbonati per problemi relativi principalmente dovuti alla compatibilita' tra lo Sky+ HD e molti televisori presenti sul mercato. Nel caso di JVC il problema si presentava come distorsione dell' immagine nei tv collegati con la connessione HDMI e che si presentava durante i cambi del formato di trasmissione.
Per fronteggiare i problemi Sky UK ha fornito anche dei cavi component gratuitamente per i clienti che hanno accusato dei problemi di connessione via HDMI dei quali Sky ovviamente era a conoscenza. In ogni caso vi riporto la notizia che Sky ha trovato la soluzione per i problemi sui tv di JVC e procedera' con un aggiornamento del ricevitore per risolvere il problema durante questo mese.

"Following a joint investigation, Sky and JVC have identified a minor HDMI compatibility issue as the cause of picture distortion experienced when some recent models of JVC displays are connected via HDMI to the Sky HD box. We are pleased to confirm that Sky has developed a solution to the problem, which arises during a change in picture aspect ratio.
It is currently anticipated that this solution will be implemented automatically via a software update to all Sky HD boxes in late August. In the meantime, any customers experiencing this issue are advised, as a temporary measure, to simply use the component output to connect their Sky HD box to their TV to view Sky HD content. Customers must remember to disconnect their Sky HD Box from the mains supply before doing this.

The JVC models affected by the above statement are: the LT-26DS75, the LT-32DS75, the LT-37DS75, the LT-26DX7, the LT-32DX7, the LT-26DR7, the LT-32DR7, the LT-37DR7 & the LT-40DS7.
